There are just 16 regular-season games remaining in the NBA career of Dwyane Wade. Thanks to the oddity of the Southeast Division, in which the 31-35 Miami Heat currently sit in first place, Wade may have even more games on his plate down the stretch. But if there's any stress that's coming along with one last playoff chase, the future Hall of Famer isn't letting it show, via Justin Tinsley of The Undefeated:

No pressure’s on me. Normally I’m so tough on myself. I have expectations of greatness. If I can’t reach that level, then I’m stressed, frustrated. This year has allowed me just to play and not really care if I score 22, if I score two. This is the first time I’ve had a chance to take it all in, appreciate it, smile and move on to the next one — win, lose or draw.

Wade has returned for one last ride through the NBA gauntlet as a member of the Miami Heat in 2018-19, recapturing some of his old magic by averaging 14.2 points, 4.3 assists and 3.7 rebounds per game entering play Wednesday. All 56 games he has appeared in have come off the bench, keeping his name in talk for possible Sixth Man of the Year honors.

The 37-year-old has been able to let the next wave of Heat players carry the load, even if he has found the ball in his hands with the game on the line on numerous occasions. Whether he's entering the last month of his playing career, or his team has some playoff magic up their sleeve, Wade is taking it all in.
