A nostalgic Dwyane Wade hoped to give Miami Heat fans in the American Airlines Arena one last sight of his glorious hop onto the scorer's table, one that saw him quickly slip and fall off of it before poking fun at himself and getting back up in a much-less athletic way.

“I ended it in D-Wade fashion,” said Wade, according to Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press. “Fallin'. Slippin'. But I got right back up.”

In fairness to Wade, the table was crowded and had very little room for him to land, but to his credit, he got right back up, as he always has throughout his career.

This was a very tiny, insignificant blemish in what has been a masterful career for a player that any journalist would struggle to find a bad thing to say about him.

Wade capped his last home game in front of the Heat faithful with a 30-point night, getting the ceremonial start and making it count with a 122-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Heat might not be going to the playoffs as he had hoped, but they go out with their head held high, giving one of the best shooting guards of all-time a proper send-off — one he won't soon forget as he navigates into the next chapter of his life.
