Dwyane Wade wants to be an NBA owner one day, even if it is in a minority role, and the future Hall of Famer says the Miami Heat are obviously the organization he wants to be a part of.

Wade is retiring from the NBA after this season and has been open about being involved with the Heat to help the franchise grow once he has moved on.

The best player in Miami franchise history says having input in personnel decisions is one of the reasons he wants to be an NBA owner one day:

“Yeah, definitely is,” Wade told Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald. “You want to learn that side. You want to be a continued part of helping the game grow. For me, I would love to be a continued part of helping this organization grow.

“I want to be a part of it, I want to be part of it all. I want to be in the war room. I want to be in everything. For one, to learn how the process goes and see if I can help with the next generation, help see talent, be able to help talent grow and all those things.”

Imagine you're a star free agent and Dwyane Wade walks into the room trying to convince you to sign with the Heat.

The allure of living in South Beach is already amazing, but having one of the best players in NBA history recruit you could be a huge advantage for the Heat down the line.
