Dwyane Wade has been on an absolute tear recently, and Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra has noticed.

In his last seven games, the future Hall of Famer is averaging 16.6 points per game. This prompted Spoelstra to give him some high praise.

ā€œThat's textbook, Hall of Fame poise,ā€ Spoelstra said. ā€œHe's playing his best basketball of the season right now.ā€

Not only is Wade playing his best basketball of the season, he's playing his best basketball in years. He doesn't look like someone that should be hanging it up at the end of the season, but someone that could be a big piece to a playoff team.

Sadly for Wade, his Heat are currently out of the playoffs. With a 29-34 record, they're only percentage points behind the Orlando Magic, the team currently sitting in the eighth seed.

If Wade can continue his onslaught, and get some help from his teammates, the HeatĀ could see the playoffs in his final season.

At the moment, Wade is averaging 14.3 points, 4.2 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. All of those numbers are improvements from last season. The 37-year-old clearly has a lot left in the tank, but seems set on retiring at the end of the year.

This current stretch is showing everyone that Wade can not only still hang with the young talent in the NBA, but show them a thing or two himself.
