The Miami Heat have ushered in a bit of a youth movement in recent years. Regardless, team president Pat Riley expects point guard Goran Dragic to remain the starter in the 2019-20 NBA season.
Dragic is entering the fifth and final year of his current deal. According to Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, riley plans for him to remain the starter next season:
Riles says he believes Goran Dragic is the starting point guard for the 2019-20 Heat.

There had been plenty of speculation regarding Dragic's future this offseason. He made the decision to opt into the final year of his deal much sooner than he needed to. As a result, he has become a potential asset for Miami now that he is trade-eligible. Although the veteran has expressed his interest in staying with the Heat, it is clear that he was comfortable with whatever it is they have planned for him.
Dragic spent the bulk of last season making his return from knee surgery. His absence made way for the Heat to experiment successfully with Justice Winslow at point guard. The 33-year-old was not named a starter until late March and finished the season averaging 13.7 points on 4.3 percent shooting from the field. He also managed to tack on 4.8 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 26.5 minutes per game.
Miami's backcourt got a bit more crowded following this year's draft. They used the 13th overall pick to take former Kentucky guard Tyler Herro. It will be interesting to see if Dragic does indeed remain the starter by the time next season rolls around.
