Miami Heat president Pat Riley says the team is not actively pursuing any trades at the moment.
The Heat were aggressively trying to acquire Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Jimmy Butler last month, but trade talks reportedly fell through.
Pat Riley reportedly told his players in October that he’s pulling the plug on a Butler trade.

The Heat are 5-5 through 10 games. Shooting guard Josh Richardson, a player who has been rumored to be on the Timberwolves' radar, is an early top candidate to win the Most Improved Player of the Year award. The 25-year-old is averaging 20.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists while shooting 41.8 percent from the field, 40.5 percent from beyond the arc and 90.6 percent from the free-throw line.
The Heat and Timberwolves could always start up trade talks around Butler again. The four-time All-Star hasn't changed his mind and still wants out of Minnesota. Butler reportedly prefers to play for the Heat because he believes he can recruit other star players to South Beach. The 29-year-old also has a close relationship with Dwyane Wade.
Everyone in the league knows Pat Riley and Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra are enamored with Butler, so it wouldn't shock anyone to see the two pursue the Timberwolves forward later in the season. The 2019 February trade deadline is still a long ways away.
