Jimmy Butler has been a polarizing figure in the NBA ever since he forced his way out of Chicago, and then again in Minnesota, and then again in Philadelphia. However, it seems like he's finally found a home in Miami and he lead the Heat to a win over the Lakers in Game 3 of the NBA Finals.

On the daily, Locked On Heat Podcast, host David Ramil celebrated Jimmy Butler's incredible Game 3 performance and explained why he's been completely vindicated from all of his antics on his former teams.

David Ramil: What a performance from Jimmy Butler. It was everything you could possibly have hoped for. For a guy who has got so much negativity thrown at him, perhaps some of it justified, most of it not a lot of it overblown… He's been such a great teammate this year for Miami. He's helped build confidence in young players. He's kept his team together. He's built a culture of accountability and help to sustain the Heat culture that so many people want to ridicule and laugh at and poke holes at when they don't achieve the kind of championship success that this franchise expects from their roster every single season.

Tonight was such a vindication for Butler because it was absolutely a superstar performance, a dominant performance under the brightest of lights in the NBA Finals, Jimmy Butler, doing everything he possibly could to keep Miami's championship hopes alive, an incredible game from him…

We've seen Dwayne Wade, we've seen LeBron James, we've seen Chris Bosh, we've seen Shaquille O'Neal, Alonzo Mourning so many greats in this franchise, and Jimmy Butler is right there with him. After one season, he's put himself in the top tier of players in franchise history.

An incredible run for him to be able to carry this team without a clear superstar other than Jimmy, perhaps… Jimmy (Butler) is a perfect representation of everything that you talk about when it comes to Heat culture. He was so dominant.
