Thursday night’s matchup between the Miami Heat and Golden State Warriors was an intense battle in the first half. As both teams continue their pace for a playoff position, the game quickly became a back and forth battle, and tensions rose between Draymond Green and Bam Adebayo.

Continuing to bring energy to his team, Green scored on an and-one play against Heat guard Duncan Robinson with 58 seconds remaining in the second quarter. His aggressive drive had the majority of the Warriors bench thrilled. He even decided to flex his muscles after the play. It, however, didn’t sit well with the Heat players, particularly Adebayo.

The two All-Stars had choice words for each other, showing their true emotions with the intensity of the game.

The Heat held a five-point lead heading into the halftime break.

Green continues to be one of the emotional leaders for the Warriors. Before Thursday, he was averaging 6.1 points, 6.4 rebounds, and a team-high 8.4 assists per outing. While he has not been as scoring much this season, his playmaking has been a huge factor. The former Michigan State standout already has 15 games this season where he put up 10+ dimes.

The Warriors are in the midst of a three-game road trip with their first assignment against Adebayo and the rest of the Heat. They will take on the Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks in their next two matchups. As they look to climb the standings in the Western Conference, the stretch is a highly important one for Draymond Green and company.
