The Milwaukee Bucks have emerged as the NBA's best team this season. With a record of 48-16, they currently own the best record in the league, and if they're able to hold onto the top spot until the end of the regular season, they will earn home court advantage throughout the playoffs.

For team captain and All-Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, a lot of the Bucks' success relies on the fact that the team is having fun both on and off the court.

“I’ll say the same thing I always say – and people look at me crazy – is that we’re having fun. Like, we’re working, but we’re not coming in here like, ‘Ah, another day that we’ve got to practice.’ It’s almost like we’re happy that we’re here.”
Imagine that.

Antetokounmpo added that since everyone is happy to play with each other, it creates a positive atmosphere in the locker room and everywhere the team goes to practice.

“We’re happy that we’re going to play together. This group has been amazing. The atmosphere has been amazing for us, and so that’s why we’re playing well. We’re playing together. That’s why we have one another’s back. We go to team dinners the night before the game, we go on team dinners together the night after the game. And that’s something that coach Bud (will emphasize). He’ll go to the team and talk about how to play well you’ve got to know – everybody’s got to know – that you have each other’s back. And so far, everybody knows that, and that’s why we do whatever it takes for one another.”

The Bucks have been playing well and have a lot of reasons to be happy about, and the results of that show whenever they step into the court and play. It's not only Giannis that's feeling good; his supporting cast loves playing with him, with coach Mike Budenholzer's system, and with the franchise in general.

Even during losses, there's been no pointing fingers in Milwaukee, everyone is owning up to whatever it is that they felt they did wrong, and that speaks volumes to the culture that the Bucks are starting to build.

There are very few reasons for the Bucks to be upset this season. They have arguably the best player in the league, they are winning, and the franchise is headed for long-term success.

Who wouldn't be happy to be a part of that?
