Giannis Antetokounmpo isn't resting on his laurels after his Milwaukee Bucks put the Boston Celtics on the brink of elimination. The Greek Freak posted a monstrous 39 points and 16 rebounds in Game 4, now winning three straight games to put the Celtics one win away from being knocked out of the playoffs.
Yet Antetokounmpo isn't quite ready to call this series over, knowing there's more to his task in the postseason than advancing past the second round.
The 6-foot-11 forward claimed the Bucks “had done its job” by winning Game 3 and taking their home court advantage back, only for a reporter to point out he doesn't seem to be satisfied to trade and eye for an eye.
“My job is over when the whole thing is won,” Giannis Antetokounmpo said, according to ESPN's Zach Lowe.
Antetokounmpo bounced back formidably from a Game 1 disappointment, as the long-striding big man has lived in the paint, dazzling with an arsenal of moves and finishes that have obliterated the Celtics' defense.
Adding insult to injury, Antetokounmpo has also lived at the free-throw line, making a whopping 60 trips to the stripe in four games of this series — an average of 15 foul shots per game.
The Greek Freak is ruthless, a maniacal competitor that has grown to not only embrace, but thrive in the competitive nature of the playoffs.
Now coming back home to the Fiserv Forum, Antetokounmpo and his teammates very much expect to deal the killing blow in front of their home fans to enjoy the added rest that could come in handy for a potential Eastern Conference Finals tilt.
