The Milwaukee Bucks are especially thin at the point guard position, and that is why Mike Budenholzer admits they are working particularly hard to address the issue.

The Bucks are without point guard George Hill who has been dealing with a groin injury. His absence left a huge hole on the team's backcourt, and with a return nowhere in sight, Budenholzer confirmed they are looking to make the necessary moves to add point guard depth.

“I think we’re working hard on that as we speak,” the Bucks head coach recently told reporters on Monday afternoon, via Matt Velazquez of the Milkwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I think that’s certainly an area where maybe we could use … some minutes.”

True to his word, Mike Budenholzer and the Bucks signed Isaiah Canaan to a 10-day contract to begin their experiment for the point guard post. It remains to be seen if Canaan will be able to carve out a place in the Milwaukee lineup, but his signing proved that the team is determined to bolster their roster ahead of the playoffs.

In addition to being a bit thin at the point guard position, the Bucks are also without superstar swingman Giannis Antetokounmpo at the moment. As a result, Budenholzer commented on the ongoing situation ahead of Monday evening's matchup against the struggling Chicago Bulls, which should still be a win for the upstart Eastern Conference franchise.

As it stands today, the surging Milwaukee team remains atop the Eastern Conference standings and doesn't appear to be going anywhere fast. Although the Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics remain on the Bucks' heels, the Bucks will surely remain just healthy enough to keep up the team's impressive run — or so it seems, at least.
