Steve Nash joins the long list of former and current NBA players jumping on the MVP hype train of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo.

“You'd be happy with any of these guys,” Steve Nash said. “They're all incredible, incredible players, having historic seasons and careers. I think it's hard to pick anyone other than Giannis [Antetokounmpo] given that he won it last year and he's elevated his game and his team's game this year.”

“He was probably the best defensive player in the league, putting it together with his offensive contribution,” Nash continued. “The (Milwaukee) Bucks team as an offense. The way he's kind of a point-center. He's so versatile on both ends of the floor. It's hard to not give it to him, but that doesn't mean other guys aren't deserving.”

For the record, James Harden of the Houston Rockets rounds out the Top 3 of the MVP voting this season. In the end, however, many believe that he and LeBron are a distant third and second, respectively — with Antetokounmpo well ahead for the top award.

As Nash mentioned, Giannis Antetokounmpo has also been exceptional on the defensive end this term. In fact, the Bucks star has also emerged as the front runner for this season's Defensive Player of the Year award. If he is able to bag both titles,  he will join Michael Jordan and Hakeem Olajuowon as the only players in league history to have won the MVP and DPOY in the same campaign.
