Minnesota Timberwolves swingman Anthony Edwards was unfazed when he found himself being guarded by Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert in transition during the first quarter of their game. After the game, the 2020 top overall pick also shed light on his thoughts after he successfully scored a bucket against one of the league's best defenders.

But as far as being excited, like I’m going against (this guy or that guy), nah, I’m going out there and just playing basketball, doing what I was drafted to do, and that’s putting the ball in the hoop to the best of my ability. So I just try to do that.”
Despite coming off the bench, the former Georgia standout still managed to make an impact against Rudy Gobert and the Jazz where he generated a total of 18 points, a rebound, an assist, along with two steals in 22 minutes played.
Edwards also received significant help from D'Angelo Russell who scored 25 points and six assists and Karl-Anthony Towns who added 16 points and 12 rebounds in the game. With a tough defense in crunch time, the Timberwolves eventually managed to fend off the Jazz' late rally en route to a 116-111 victory.
With a 2-0 record, the Timberwolves are looking forward to gaining consistency as they aim for their third-straight victory. Hopefully, Anthony Edwards will be able to remain unfazed and say the same sentiment when they face LeBron James and the rest of the Lakers on Dec. 27
