Los Angeles Clippers reserve duo of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell accomplished a feat that has never been done in the history of the NBA.

In Game 1 of their series against the Golden State Warriors, Williams and Harrell became the only teammates to score 25-plus points off the bench in the same game in the playoffs, per Clippers on Twitter.

The tandem were tremendous off the bench for the Clippers.

Harrell top-scored for L.A. with 26 points on 11-of-15 shooting. He was a force down low, especially in the first half, where he scored 22 on 9-of-12 shooting. Williams netted 25 points of his own, and added nine assists in the Clippers return to the postseason after missing out last year.

Unfortunately, their efforts off the bench were not enough to upset the top-seeded Warriors in the series opener. The defending champions, led by Stephen Curry's 38 points, were just too much for them to handle.

Nonetheless, Williams and Harrell will need to have more games like this if LA wants to have any chance of pulling off the series stunner.

The Clippers super bench duo have been tremendous for the Clippers all year long.

Williams, who will most likely win his second consecutive Sixth Man of the Year award this season (and his third overall), had another magnificent season off the bench for the Clippers. He came off the bench for the Clips in all but one of his 75 appearances this season. For the second consecutive year, Williams led the Clippers in scoring with 20.0 PPG.

Harrell, on the other hand, had a breakout season in 2018-19. He averaged career-bests of 16.6 PPG and 6.5 RPG while shooting at an efficient 61.5 percent from the field.
