Paul George has been absolutely outstanding without Kawhi Leonard in the Los Angeles Clippers lineup. Thanks to his impressive performances, Kendrick Perkins now believes that PG is on the same level as his LA teammate, Kawhi:

Woah, Woah, Woah. Leonard and George are in the same category? That is very bold from Perkins. While PG has been the leading catalyst for the Clippers in their run to the conference finals, it does seem a bit premature to put him almost alongside Kawhi.
Article Continues BelowAfter all, Leonard has won two NBA titles and was a Finals MVP on both occasions. That's impressive in itself. Nonetheless, you can't take anything away from how George has been performing for the Clippers. He dropped a playoff career-high 41 points on Monday night against the Suns to cut the series deficit to 3-2 and has basically been showing out every single game since Kawhi went on the shelf with a knee injury.
As for Perkins, we know that he usually has some pretty insane takes. No one is doubting that Paul George is a superstar, especially with the way he's playing on the big stage. But Kawhi Leonard has done it time and time again while having rings to show for. Until George gets to that point, it doesn't seem fair to put him on the same level. But, he won't care. He'll just be focused on getting the Clippers past the Suns and into the NBA finals.
