It turns out Draymond Green assaulted a fellow athlete Sunday morning outside Conrad's Grill in downtown East Lansing.

At around 2:30AM, it was reported that Green allegedly slapped current Michigan State football player Jermaine Edmondson in the face. Edmondson was just enjoying his 22nd birthday at a nightclub when Green put his hands on him. After asking Green to respect his space, Green continued to pester Edmondson, baiting a verbal argument. Before Edmondson knew it, Green slapped him right across the jaw.

“As far as today, I'm not feeling the best. My neck and my jaw still hurts along with the headache that I've had since I was hit,” stated Edmonson in a police report. “I would like to take further action on this situation and I am willing to fully cooperate to get this situation taken care of.”

Green, who is a member of the U.S. Men's National Team this year, now realizes the error in his ways.

“As a public figure, I just can't put myself in certain situations,” Green remarked. “It's something that I'll learn from and just move on.”

Hopefully this case will stay ground level and not cost Green a chance to compete for his country.
