Former league veteran Robert Sacre may not be making a lot of headlines lately, as he is not playing in the NBA anymore, but he recently turned a lot of heads with a very intriguing tweet he posted on his Twitter account.

The 28-year-old Canadian international hinted that Vancouver could be working on acquiring a team to bring back NBA basketball to the beautiful city.

Sacre spent four years in the NBA, all with the Los Angeles Lakers from 2012 to 2016. He had his best year in his second season, where he averaged 5.4 points and 3.9 rebounds in 16.8 minutes per game, as he became a fixture in the team's rotation.

Last year, he was invited to join the New Orleans Pelicans training camp, but was unable to crack a roster spot, forcing him to bring his talents to Japan, where he has been playing since January.

It remains to be seen if there's any truth to what he posted, but it has also long been rumored that Vancouver may be one of the favorites, along with Seattle, as cities to have an NBA team, and expand the league's participants to 32. Before moving to Memphis back in 2001, the British Columbia city owned the franchise that started in 1995.
