Lamar Odom. Now there's a name we don't hear as often as we used to.
Once synonymous a decade ago with the Los Angeles Lakers for his unique Swiss army knife concoction of length and transcendental ball skills, and later for his sudden turn as an unwitting celebrity due to his relationship (and eventually marriage) to socialite Khloé Kardashian and the multitude of reality show episodes and TV appearances that preceded it, Odom is now out of the league after disappointing stops with several teams, divorced, and with the exception of some small blips on the radar involving cocaine, is completely out of the spotlight.
Odom however, is back in the news again — not surprisingly, because of the Kardashians. The two-time NBA champion recently admitted, via a person close to him who was interviewed by InTouch magazine, that he “wished” he was True Thompson's father (Khloé's son with Cleveland Cavaliers' backup forward Tristan Thompson) and hopes to reconnect with his ex-wife.

But he took the small opportunity to also announce via TMZ that he's hard at work on an NBA comeback (he's been spotted infrequently getting in game shape at Gold's Gym), and will try his luck on the foreign leagues first.
“I'm just working out trying to work my way back overseas. Maybe Italy, something like that.”
