More and more NBA players are starting to wear mouth guards after watching some of their peers lose teeth during a game.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at a few notable NBA players who have lost a tooth while playing. Spoiler alert, it looks very painful.

However, NBA guys are tough for a reason folks. All the players we'll be discussing stayed in their respective games despite losing some teeth.

Reggie Evans

While playing for the Brooklyn Nets, Reggie Evans lost a tooth against the Charlotte Hornets.

The big man placed his tooth on the scorer's table and stayed in the game, in typical Evans fashion.

Goran Dragic

“The Dragon” took a hard elbow from Al Horford and went down in Atlanta.

Goran Dragic lost a tooth and got called for the foul, so it was a rough evening for the Miami Heat point guard.

Carl Landry

Even with a mouth guard on, Houston Rockets center Carl Landry lost some teeth after Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki elbowed him in the face.

Nowitzki even hurt his elbow on the play as well.

Isaiah Thomas

While trying to guard Washington Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr., Boston Celtics star guard Isaiah Thomas lost his tooth for the whole world to see.

Since it was the NBA playoffs, though, there was no way Thomas was going to come out.

Ironically, the Indiana Pacers forward suffered the injury just one day after signing a major contract extension with the club.
