With the 2017 NBA Draft fast approaching, it has put an increased level of scrutiny on the top prospects that will be available.
One of the players at the forefront of that all is UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball, who has been put under the microscope from all angles in the last several weeks. What has often been questioned is his shooting form that is certainly a unique style.
During a recent interview with ESPN in preparation for the NBA draft, Ball made it a point to clarify how important his mid-range game is to him.

I could shot the three and get to the rim but you know there are going to be bigger guys at the next level you got to be able to work on that pull-up and floater. That's what I am kind of focusing on right now. If you want to do something, you got to be the best at it. [From the] mid-range I want to be the best ever, so I think that motivates me the most.”
The 19-year-old certainly has some high aspiration for playing at the next level. He is already regarded as the best passer in his draft class that has drawn some comparison to Jason Kidd and Magic Johnson in that regard.
Despite questions concerning his shooting form, he shot 41.2 percent from beyond the arc in his lone season at UCLA and an astounding 73.2 percent from inside the 3-point line. Regardless of how he shoots the ball, if he can add a consistent shot from mid-range, then it could help ease the transition to the NBA.
