There's no better pastime for NBA fans than staging debates on who the greatest basketball player of all time is. So, what happens when the consensus GOAT himself weighs in on who he thinks is better between two modern-day legends often associated with his own greatness?
YouTube channel Bay Area HQ caught a video of Michael Jordan holding a Q&A session at his basketball academy in Santa Barbara, where someone in the crowd asked His Airness who he thinks is more superior between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
Here's Jordan's answer:

Obviously, what Jordan meant about “five beats three” is the number of NBA championships that Kobe and LeBron have won, respectively. Coming from a man that won six titles himself, MJ's reasoning is as bulletproof as it comes.
Of course, not everyone agrees that Jordan's the greatest basketball of all-time either, so there are a handful of others out there who won't take his response as the end-all, be-all answer to put the never-ending debates to rest.
Well, at least Mike didn't troll the crowd by replying “LaVar Ball.“
