After the fan voting deadline, the NBA will also gather player and media votes, which account for 50 percent of the voting for All-Star game starters. Keep an eye on important dates related to the NBA All-Star game, including the revealing of starters and coaches' selections for the bench.

These second returns released today give fans a clearer picture of who the starters will be. A couple of players like Stephen Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant are pretty much safe as they have gathered more than enough votes to lead their respective conferences.

Once again, it is important to remember that the final fan voting results are not official, as the rest of the NBA players and media members' votes could alter the All-Star voting standings and provide a surprise when the starters are revealed on Jan. 18.
Another aspect worth noting is the NBA will not reveal or stream the All-Star team captains selecting players nor the order in which they were chosen. This was an aspect that added a lot of storyline possibilities to the All-Star game, as fans would become more engaged in situations like a captain drafting a close friend first rather than a teammate, or similar scenarios.
