Consensus 2019 NBA Draft No. 1 pick Zion Williamson signed with CAA Sports agency after spending the vast majority of his post-collegiate career without representation.
CAA Sports represents plenty of notable clients in the sports industry, including Paul George, Chris Paul, D'Angelo Russell in the NBA and other stars in different sports.

LeBron James was also represented by CAA for the first nine years of his career, parting ways with his agent Leon Rose in 2012 to become his childhood friend Rich Paul's first client upon starting Klutch Sports.

Having an agency to represent Williamson is of utmost importance now that he's bound to be the highest-paid rookie of the 2019 NBA Draft class, as well as the most-coveted athlete in sports for a shoe deal.
Those two sides will include multi-million-dollar decisions that will require counsel and wise revision before signing in a dotted line.
Even if Williamson lands in New Orleans as expected, a small market team, the former Blue Devil is bound to net multiple marketing opportunities and chances to grow his brand — already boasting the most recognizable name of this draft class and one of the highest potentials entering the NBA.
Since the end of his collegiate season at Duke, Williamson's only statements have been of his own, as well as his stepfather shortly after the NBA Draft Lottery — now he will have an agent to speak for him, as well as negotiate the kinks of a multi-year contract.
