Enes Kanter isn't buying the initial noise from the New York Knicks potentially snatching Kevin Durant this offseason. The former Knickerbocker, who is also a former teammate of Durant as members of the Oklahoma City Thunder, told Colin Cowherd in The Herd that he envisions him going to the inter-borough rival Brooklyn Nets.
Via SNY's Ian Begley:
“If I were him, don't get me wrong I love New York, I love the Knicks, I love the fans, MSG and everything it's cool, but I see him going to Brooklyn with Kyrie [Irving],” said Kanter. “I know KD and I know his personality and everything – the media might be a little harsh on him in New York. Because if you're KD, you're going to the Knicks, if you're not winning, they're going to blame you.
“I see him going to Brooklyn. I wish he'd go to the Knicks, but I see him going to Brooklyn.”
This is hardly the first time Kanter has had opinions when it comes to free agency, and it comes to no surprise that it is this willingness to opine that makes him so entertaining at times.

Only last summer, Kanter was full-on recruiting LeBron James to The Big Apple, only months after an off-the-court tiff with self-professed King of New York.
The Knicks bought Kanter out of his contract after the trade deadline, which caused him to land in Portland — yet Kanter wanted Durant on the Knicks even before he departed.
“Who wouldn't want KD to wear a New York uniform?,” Kanter told Sirius XM Radio in 2018. “We are New York. He's a free agent. We need to use that. We are the best city in the world. That could draw a lot of attention for free agents. I would love for him to be my teammate again.”
Most signs point to Kanter being right, as there has been far more noise indicating Brooklyn has what it takes to lure him, while the Knicks have been awfully quiet despite the regular season buzz surrounding their offseason expectations.
