Former NBA player Keyon Dooling will help lead the program into the future.

In an article published for the Players' Tribune on May 1, Dooling discussed his post-traumatic stress disorder. It is a tough, but inspiring read about his being sexually abused as a child, which led to a stint in a mental institution in 2012 while he was a member of the Boston Celtics.
Multiple players have come out over the year to discuss their own issues with mental health. Kevin Love, who suffers from anxiety issues, is still participating in the NBA Playoffs.
How the NBA's mental health and wellness program will directly help players is not yet known. Details will likely emerge as the days go by. Either way, the first step is getting something in motion. Let's hope this can help players in need.
