Following their successful inaugural season, the Big3 League has been an appealing option for former basketball pros to continue playing competitive basketball. Now nearing the start of their sophomore campaign, they are slated to welcome another big name to their growing list of well-known players in the past as Morris “Mo” Peterson will reportedly join the draft in Ice Cube’s league, according to their official Twitter account.

The now 40-year-old Michigan State product spent 11 seasons in the NBA from 2000-2011. He was the 21st overall pick back in the 2000 draft by the Toronto Raptors and quickly made a name for himself as a sharpshooter from the perimeter, and from beyond the arc. He became part of the All-Rookie First Team, which was the first honor he received in the pros after a very successful college career where he won the national championship in his senior year.

Peterson’s addition to the draft pool will give the league’s fans more reason to be excited about the start of their second season. He will be joining the likes of Allen Iverson, Kenyon Martin, Mike Bibby and Stephen Jackson, just to name a few, as the most prominent players who saw action last year.

Other players who have declared for the upcoming draft are Jamario Moon, Samaki Walker, and Jason Maxiell. The draft order has yet to be announced to give more time for those who wish to sign up to pass their documents. Each roster will be increased from five to six players, and the three remaining roster spots will be filled via the draft.
