A few NBA coaches and executives have been eyeing Carmelo Anthony and wondering if he can still play at the highest level after missing most of the 2018-19 season after spending 10 games with the Houston Rockets.

Wednesday was all about vintage Melo during a Black Ops run, organized by his longtime trainer Chris Brickley.

The perennial bucket-getter can be seen doing his thing in this highlight mix, but fact remains that Melo has now played more games at Life Time Athletic at Sky than he has in the NBA during the past year.

The NBA has now evolved into an outside in league and his last two teams: the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Houston Rockets, have relied on him being a potent outside shooter to make their partnership work. That hasn't been the case, it's simply not built into the game he's patented since coming into the league.

That alone, along with a bevy of questions regarding the role he'd be willing to take upon signing with an NBA team, have mired Melo in a difficult position, potentially putting his pro career and potential farewell tour at risk.
