Just when the Brooklyn Nets finally seemed like they'd have a clean bill of health for their big guns, they lose another. Sharpshooter Joe Harris is expected to miss the final two games of the regular season.
The Nets swingman is dealing with a left gluteal strain that's causing him discomfort, as reported by ESPN insider Malika Andrews. The good news is that the injury doesn't appear to be serious enough to keep him out of the NBA playoffs.
Steve Nash said Harris had imaging done that revealed the strain. Harris will be out through this weekend, but Nash said the expectation is that he will be ready for the playoffs. https://t.co/kk9JDMH1A8

Harris is an absolutely vital part of the Brooklyn Nets roster. He's averaging 14.1 points per contest to go along with 3.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.
But his true value is in his long-range shooting. Harris leads the NBA in 3-point percentage, hitting an absurd 47.5% of his shots from deep this season with decent volume of 6.4 attempts per game.
His threat from the outside is the perfect complement to the Nets' trio of All-Star scorers, who all act as ball-dominate offensive juggernauts. Having Harris space the floor and act as a release point during pressure-packed moments will definitely be crucial once the defenses ramp up in the playoffs.
The good news is that James Harden looks primed and ready after a lengthy stint on the injured list. As long as Harris comes back healthy, the Nets are set to be fully stacked for their first playoff run together.
