Team USA is currently busy preparing for the Tokyo Olympics, which begin in just a couple of weeks. Kevin Durant headlines the absolutely stacked US roster and funny enough, he will come up against his Brooklyn Nets teammate Timothy Luwawu-Cabarrot in the opening game in Tokyo as Team USA plays France.
When asked about what it'll be like for Kevin Durant to face his teammate, he had a rather hilarious answer:
Kevin Durant talks about facing Nets teammate Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot in Team USA's first game vs. France in Tokyo
"I definitely talked my s–t to TLC a couple times about how he can't guard me and how I lock him up on defense" 😳🤣 pic.twitter.com/uhWXKel5Bz

I mean, KD probably has a point. TLC isn't the most productive player. He averaged 6.7 points per game during the regular season for Brooklyn while playing just 18.1 minutes a night. Kevin Durant meanwhile, is one of the best talents on the planet and wouldn't have any issues balling out on TLC.
Article Continues BelowWhile Team USA is the clear-cut favorite to win the gold medal, France will be no pushover in their opening contest. They possess several NBA players on their roster, including Rudy Gobert, Evan Fournier, Nic Batum, Frank Nkilitina, and Luwawu-Cabarrot. On top of that, some other Euroleague standouts.
While it's unknown if TLC will start for his country, Kevin Durant will certainly be looking to walk the walk after talking smack to the Nets role player.
Team USA and France will face off on July 25th in Tokyo.
