The Minnesota Timberwolves have begun to hit stride winning their last five straight games that have put them among the best records in the league.
According to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic, this strong start has pushed the Timberwolves to their best mark to begin a season in a decade.
Timberwolves are 7-3 and look at this: it’s the first time they’ve been four games over .500 since 2007.

Two-thousand seven.

Minnesota made several big moves over the offseason that saw them add All-Star forward Jimmy Butler along with former All-Star point guard Jeff Teague, two-time Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford, and veteran big man Taj Gibson. In fact, there are only seven players on the current roster that returned this season.
These acquisitions have had a huge impact on guiding them to a strong, encouraging start. This has included them topping the revamped Oklahoma City Thunder twice in the process in close fashion. The Timberwolves have been led by the play of third-year center Karl-Anthony Towns, who is leading the team with a double-double of 21.8 points and 10.9 rebounds along with 2.0 blocks per game.
However, Minnesota has yet to show that they can be a formidable challenge to the defending champion Golden State Warriors, who they will get their first matchup against on Wednesday night on the road. This will provide an early gauge on if they are up to par yet against the league's top team.
