Since the Los Angele Lakers selected former UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball with the second overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, it put his father LaVar Ball in the forefront of the local sports media scene.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, this has potentially put him in the position to make an appearance on WWE Monday Night Raw this upcoming Monday night that will take place in Los Angeles at Staples Center.
Article Continues BelowPro Wrestling Sheet has learned WWE wants Lavar Ball to appear on Monday Night Raw next week in Los Angeles … and it sounds like he was talking about it during a recent livestream.
Sources tell us the two sides have been in talks to make it happen and things are looking good — however, as is always the case with creative plans, they could change at the drop of a dime.
Vince McMahon and the WWE have always operated with the standard of always doing what they believe is best for business. LaVar has become a prominent figure in sports media over the last several months behind his continued antics to promote both his son and his Big Baller Brand.
If a deal does get worked out between both sides, it would be curious to see what kind of capacity he would be used in on the program. There is no question that they will use his strong personality to produce a segment where he speaks at a great length.
All in all, this could be quite an interesting situation to see what LaVar will do with the WWE, and could open the door to other unique opportunities for himself and his family down the road.
