It was an eventful night in the NBA, to say the least. Fans were treated to not one, but two game-winning shots in a single game day.

However, one of them came from an unlikely source. Brooklyn Nets point guard Spencer Dinwiddie managed to hit the clutch shot over the outstretched arms of Minnesota Timberwolves forward Taj Gibson to help seal the 98-97 victory on Wednesday night.

It was the exclamation point on a spectacular night for Dinwiddie. After having the hot hand all evening, there was no doubt that the Nets were going to go to him.

Needless to say, Spencer Dinwiddie made the most of it by hitting almost the same exact shot he made on the prior possession. Furthermore, he was able to match his season-high in points with 26 on an efficient 9-0f-14 shooting from the field.

With point guards D'Angelo Russell and Jeremy Lin out, Dinwiddie has taken full advantage of his heavy workload in the 2017-18 NBA season. He is currently averaging career-highs in nearly every category while possibly establishing himself as the team's go-to scorer down the stretch. That said, he will first need to show some consistency by following up his strong performances with solid outings in order to do so.
