We are going to hear plenty of rumors for the next couple of weeks as NBA free agency has officially begun. Some rumors, while plausible, just have no real substance behind them.

Yesterday, Ian Begley of ESPN, reported that Evan Turner would have numerous suitors this off-season. One of them, the Pelicans, will be aggressive to acquire Turner.

The Pelicans have a need that Turner could easily fill. Evan Turner could come off the bench to be a very good two-guard who can occasionally take up the ball for New Orleans.

Evan Turner has showed an interest in returning to the Celtics next season, but if he receives a better offer from a team like the Pelicans, he may be inclined to accept it.

While Evan Turner's advanced stats don't pin him out to be a particularly efficient scorer, ET finished with one of his best shooting seasons last year after he shot above 45% from the field for the first time in his career.
