In the last few months, it has become quite clear that the New York Knicks are looking to move All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony at some point this offseason.
Throughout the entire process, Anthony has continued to remain committed to the Knicks despite team president Phil Jackson making multiple public pushes for the 33-year-old to move on to another team. In light of that, he has once again told Jackson that he wants to stay in New York, according to Stefan Bondy of New York Daily News.

Unless the Knicks decide to buy out Anthony's contract that has two years remaining worth $54.1 million, he has the final say on any deal that Jackson attempts to work out due to his no-trade clause. He does possess a $27.9 million player option for the 2018-19 season.
The ball is essentially in Anthony's court because of his no-trade clause that will allow him to dictate where he could wind up. There had been reports that the 10-time All-Star would entertain trades to either the Los Angeles Clippers, Los Angeles Lakers, or Cleveland Cavaliers.
Things could heat up on that front once the free agency period begins next month as the Clippers may once again pursue Anthony to a greater degree than they did prior to the trade deadline last season. Cleveland could enter the picture depending on if there is some significant interest in adding him to mix alongside his close friend LeBron James.
