Things have died down on the Carmelo Anthony rumor front, but the future of the New York Knicks forward is still pretty foggy.
Anthony took to Instagram today to share a post with some text that can be interpreted as pretty cryptic.

An adventure into unknown territory surely seems to suggest something.
Anthony has spent the last six and a half seasons with the Knicks. After the team got to the postseason a few times early on in that stint, things have spiraled for the worst with the Knicks on the outside looking in of the playoffs more often than not.
With Phil Jackson gone, the franchise is looking to transition into a new era while Anthony may be looking to do the same. The Cavaliers and Rockets have expressed interest in Anthony and vice-versa, but no deal has been close to going down just yet. Anthony possesses all the power in regards to this with a no-trade clause in his contract.
It will be interesting to see what unfolds in the near future for Anthony and if we will one day look back at this and his other cryptic social media posts as foreshadowing moments.
