The start of training camp is less than two weeks away, but the Oklahoma City Thunder have remained quite busy over much of the offseason.

According to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders, the Thunder have decided to bring former Orlando Magic general manager Rob Hennigan on board in their front office.

Hennigan will more than likely assume the vacant assistant general manager role that was left open by Michael Winger, who recently accepted the general manager job with the Los Angeles Clippers. He had spent four years in the Thunder's front office before he departed to join the Magic back in 2012, which made him the youngest general manager in league history.

Under Hennigan's watch, the Magic struggled to find any consistent level of success compiling a 132-278 record while missing the playoffs in each of the five seasons before he was fired back in April. Orlando officially replaced him with Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond on a five-year deal a few weeks after the fact.

Although he struggled to build a successful team with the Magic, he will return to a familiar spot with Oklahoma City alongside general manager Sam Presti, who also worked with him in the front office with the San Antonio Spurs.
