Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George has a major decision regarding his upcoming free agency. There have been many possibilities tossed around with many different factors at play. According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, one NBA executive believes that there's one scenario where George could remain in Oklahoma City.

One executive said via text on Sunday that he could see George signing a one-year extension with the Thunder then reviewing his options for 2019 when a larger chunk of star free agents to potentially team up with will be available. The same is true for LeBron James, who led the rejuvenated Cavaliers to four straight wins entering the break.
There is no clear-cut answer at this point in time with the door open for many different outcomes to this situation. This one that has not received much dialogue over the last several weeks as George could stay with the Thunder another season to see how things transpire together alongside Russell Westbrook and possibly Carmelo Anthony.
The class of 2019 is set to include a few prominent names such as Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, and Jimmy Butler. This gives him a much better idea if Oklahoma City is where he wants to spend the next chapters of his career. He has already stated that he sees his next decision in free agency as one where he wants to “build something.”
