It has been nearly a couple of months since the Oklahoma City Thunder made the surprising acquisition of All-Star forward Paul George just prior to the start of free agency.

According to Vince Ellis of the Detriot Free Press, this was a move that didn't surprise veteran guard Reggie Jackson as he had warned George that the Thunder may make a trade for him.

“We were actually on the video game when a few destinations popped up. I remember just joking with him, ‘There’s a sleeper in there’,” Jackson said. “Our agent kind of called it and he ended up there.”

“I told him everything about the organization,” Jackson said. “It’s well ran, what to expect, great fans and just go out there and play. Go out there and compete every night and be as great as he can be.”

There is much credence to what Jackson has to say on the subject matter given that he had spent the first 3 1/2 years in the league with Oklahoma City. He saw firsthand how the organization operated internally that included moving him to the Detroit Pistons a couple of seasons ago.

At the same token, the Thunder are widely recognized for having one of the league's most devoted fanbases that have provided the team with a strong homecourt presence. It has also been a front office led by general manager Sam Presti that put together highly competitive teams over the last several years.

As for George, he now finds himself in a situation where he's playing alongside two other All-Stars in reigning MVP Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony with a chance to compete for an NBA title. This could be the best chance he has had up to this point in his career at reaching the ultimate goal.
