The Oklahoma City Thunder currently sits with a record of 18-24. Which is, frankly, not that bad in a lower end of the Western Conference populated by the Houston Rockets (of 20-game losing streak fame) and the Minnesota Timberwolves (whose 10-32 record is the worst in the league).
However, on Monday night, the Thunders' French rookie Theo Maledon produced a staggering lowlight that will – hopefully – be forgotten as his career improves past this season. Here is the clip in all its “glory.”

As you can see, the Thunders 34th overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft is wide open for a breakaway one-handed dunk, which he inevitably flubs. Luckily, the defender that was nearest him flew by to contest the shot, leaving him yet again wide open for a two-handed put-back slam.

That shot also ends in a bricked jumper, giving the Thunder another chance at some fast-break points off a miss. Where does the ball end up? That’s right, in the hands of Maledon, who dribbles into three Wolves players and loses the ball.
Finally, it ends up in the hands of the steady Karl-Anthony Towns, who dutifully lays it up.
Though this sequence was truly heinous to watch, many good players have been made to look foolish on the basketball court throughout the years. The Thunder have one of the youngest teams in the league, and that makes them intriguing – no matter if their players might convey their inexperience every now and again.
