Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is known for his absolutely-direct approach to answering questions thrown at him by reporters. However, with the 2018 NBA All-Star break finally here, the media has had the benefit of dealing with a much more relaxed version of the 2017 Most Valuable Player.

With the season on pause, reporters were able to ask him less-pressing questions such as his favorite dunk of all time. Being the competitor he is, Westbrook recalled a dunk he had as a teenager:

“This one time, back when I was about 13, I had this big dirty clothes hamper in my room in the corner. In and out on my brother, between the legs, got away, body to body. Slam dunk two big things of socks. Best dunk I had in history. But nobody’s seen it.”

Since the question lacked a set of criteria, Westbrook's dunk all those years ago would certainly qualify. Given his competitiveness, one cannot help but feel bad for his brother who likely got the brunt of his posterization back in the day.

There has been plenty of speculation as to why Westbrook never competed in the dunk contest. Ever since coming into the league, he has established himself as one of the NBA's most violent dunkers. He even made his bid to be voted in by fans back in 2009. Unfortunately, he was not voted in and since then, has been adamant about only wanting to dunk on hapless people more than anything.

Westbrook will have plenty of opportunities to dunk on another live body Sunday night, especially with how loose defenses are in the All-Star Game. He'll be teaming up with former teammate and Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant as part of LeBron James' team.
