It's been a weird season for Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook thus far. By his high standards, he has been having a sub-par season. Nonetheless, the former Most Valuable Player winner takes full responsibility for his almost-half-a-season-long woes, claiming that it's all on him.

“It's really on me. I've been s— the last month or so,” Westbrook said, via ESPN's Royce Young. “I've just got to get focused in and locked back in on what I need to do.”

Westbrook's comments came at the heels of his team's narrow, two-point defeat against the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. In his team's New Year's Eve matchup against the Mavs, Westbrook went 4-of-22 from the field overall, including 0-of-8 from rainbow country.

The following evening, Westbrook went off in a rematch against the Mavs, scoring a game-high 32 points on 13-of-24 shooting. The 30-year-old also notched 11 rebounds and 11 assists to complete yet another impressive triple-double.

It was as if two different players showed up on these two games, and this pretty much sums up Westbrook's roller coaster of a season so far.

Nonetheless, thanks in large part to the stellar play of Paul George, the Thunder are still sitting on the third spot of the Western Conference with a 23-13 record.

It's just a matter of time (hopefully) before Westbrook finally gets it going on a more consistent basis, and once everything finally falls into place, the Thunder are definitely going to be a force to be reckoned with.
