This offseason, there has been a lot of movement across the league with several big name players joining new teams.

One of which was All-Star forward Paul George being traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Following the move, George stated that he spoke to Durant about what to expect in Oklahoma City to which the 2017 NBA Finals MVP spoke highly of the franchise.

During a recent interview with Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Kevin Durant provided his thoughts on the acquisition of George to his former team while also shooting down the notion that he talked about the organization with the Thunder's new star forward.

“Nah, me and PG didn't talk much about the organization at all. I texted him congrats and told him he was going to love it there. It's just a matter of what type of team they're going to be, who's going to do what, who is going to step up.

“But they got Russ and PG and Steven Adams to be their Big 3. I think if they feed off each other, it could be great. I'm a fan of the game. So I can see if something is going to work or not and I think that's going to be a really, really great pairing. It's going to suck for us and the rest of the league. But as a fan of the game, it's going to be tight to see how they work that thing out.”

Oklahoma City has the potential to take a significant step forward this upcoming season with George now in the mix. The duo of himself and the reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook could make some noise in the Western Conference. The two could excel at playing off each other in a similar fashion to what Westbrook did with Durant over eight seasons.

At the same time, it is interesting to hear that Durant didn't exactly give George the entire run down with what to expect with the Thunder. It's likely that he's playing coy in order to keep the details of their conversation mum and only between them.

Nonetheless, the Thunder have an opportunity to make some head way next season with another dynamic duo in place. The only question that remains is whether they will commit long term to the organization with their respective deals expiring next summer.
