The word “quit” isn't in Orlando Magic point guard Markelle Fultz's dictionary.
While most people would have given up and just retired if they had to deal with the shoulder injuries Fultz went through, the former No. 1 overall pick and Magic's starting point guard never entertained that idea:
“A lot of people would have quit. I'm never going to give up,” Fultz told Miran Fader of Bleacher Report. “It doesn't matter what it is. I can have one arm. I will find a way to play the game I love and do whatever I need to do to compete.”
Fultz got the fresh start which he needed when the Philadelphia 76ers traded him to the Magic last season. The 21-year-old seems to have found a home in Orlando.
The Magic exercised their fourth-year team option on Fultz for the 2020-21 season, a good sign that the franchise is invested in him. In a few years, the Magic could have a lethal Big Three of Fultz, Nikola Vucevic and Jonathan Isaac, with Mohamed Bamba and Aaron Gordon rounding out the starting five.

He is averaging 11.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists in 58 games for the Magic this season while shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 24.8 percent from beyond the arc and 74.2 percent from the free-throw line.
