The Philadelphia 76ers are heading to South Beach to take on the Miami Heat on Thursday night in Game 3 and Saturday afternoon in Game 4. With Philly coughing up a game to the Heat and allowing them to even up the series, they'll need injured center Joel Embiid now more than ever before. Unfortunately, it appears that Embiid will not be cleared to play in Game 3.

According to the Sixers' official injury report, Embiid is currently listed as doubtful to play in this third game of this series.

Embiid has been out since March 28 when he suffered an orbital fracture and a concussion in the first half against the New York Knicks. He had surgery later in the week, and missed the final eight games of the regular season with the hope that he'd be back for the playoffs.

Unfortunately, the Sixers' medical staff didn't clear him for practice on Tuesday and on Wednesday, added that he'd be doubtful to participate in Game 3.

In 63 appearances this regular season, Embiid averaged 22.9 points, 11.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.8 blocks per game on 48.3 percent shooting from the field and 30.8 percent from beyond the arc.
