Sixers point guard Ben Simmons is enjoying a fine season, but there are still some critics who think his shooting form is bit out of whack. In lieu of this fact, former All-Star Tracy McGrady says he's willing to offer the Australian-born star a few tips.
On a recent episode of The Jump, McGrady implored Simmons to spend some time with him over the summer.
“Ben Simmons, come see me in the summertime,” McGrady said. “If that boy gets a jumper, look out NBA.”

A lot has been said of Simmons' shooting from range — or the lack thereof. Though he's a great offensive player, he hasn't hoisted one shot from beyond the arc this season. And in fact, he's only attempted 11 threes over the course of his two-year career in the NBA.
Though he's not taking threes, Simmons is still finding ways to be productive. The former No. 1 overall pick has made 48 appearances with the Sixers this season (all starts), racking up averages of 16.6 points on 57.8 percent shooting from the field, 9.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists, 1.3 steals and just under one block (0.8) in 33.3 minutes per outing.
Whether or not Simmons will accept McGrady's offer remains to be seen. Perhaps he should, though, as T-Mac is recognized as one of the greatest player in league history.
Simmons and the Sixers (32-17 and 2nd in the Atlantic Division) will be back in action on Saturday, when they'll travel to Denver for a matchup against the Nuggets at the Pepsi Center. Tip-off is set for 9:00 p.m. ET.
