There is no better way to win over your new team's fan base than by publicly exhibiting your affection to one of the team's biggest legends. Well, this is exactly what Phoenix Suns rookie Deandre Ayton did when he came to practice wearing a Steve Nash shirt.
Phoenix-based sports writer Duane Rankin shared a photo of Ayton's shirt via Twitter, and it definitely did not disappoint.

For Ayton, this is certainly one way to get on the good graces of the Suns faithful. After the team used their first overall pick on him in last June's Draft, a lot will be riding on his shoulders. It seems though, that he is off to a great start.
Article Continues BelowAyton could not have picked a better legend than Nash, as the recently-inducted Hall of Famer is unquestionably one of the greatest to ever dawn the Suns uniform.
At 22, Nash was drafted 15th overall by the Suns back in 1996 in one of the most historic Draft classes of all time. However, he would only spend two seasons with the team before being traded to the Dallas Mavericks in the summer of 1998.
With destiny playing its part, the prodigal son would return to Phoenix as a free agent some six years later. This was when the Steve Nash era officially started. In his second stint with the Suns, Nash collected six All-Star nods, a number of All-NBA team selections, lead the league in assists on five separate occasions, and of course, win back-to-back MVP titles between 2005 and 2006.
That's a pretty impressive resume, and Ayton better start working if he hopes to reach the same heights set by his idol.
