Steve Nash is a Phoenix Suns legend. The two-time MVP was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame, and his days running the show for Mike D'Antoni's “Seven Seconds or Less” teams were some of the most exciting in recent memory. Nash and D'Antoni were ahead of their time.
Don't expect a reunion between Nash and Phoenix anytime soon, though. In the wake of the Suns firing Ryan McDonough as general manager, some speculated that Nash could be a candidate for the position. But according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Nash doesn't have any interest in the job:
Suns legend Steve Nash — a Sarver favorite — continues to have no interest in pursuing the demands of the day-to-day duties of running a front office, league sources tell ESPN. He works as consultant with the Warriors now.

The Suns are making a major change at a very strange time with the regular season just over a week away from beginning. The front office has major roster questions to answer before they open up the season on Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks. Additionally, the Suns have been looking to trade for a starting-caliber point guard, but they have yet to find a suitable trading partner.
Phoenix is in a precarious position before the season even begins. They will be without a starting point guard unless vice president of basketball operations James Jones and assistant general manager Trevor Bukstein (both serving in the interim) can find a deal that works and doesn't involve trading away unprotected draft picks.
Additionally, Devin Booker is still working his way back from hand surgery. This season could turn ugly in a hurry.
