Game one between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Clippers was testy on Sunday night, and if their postgame comments indicate anything, we can expect the high emotions to continue moving forward.

Throughout the game, Blazers players complained about the Clippers' whining, which is something they've grown a reputation for across the league. In four of the last five years, the Clips have led the league in technical fouls.

At a certain point, it appeared to get into Portland's head, and not just for their players.

While talking to reporters, Blazers assistant Jay Triano revealed that Portland's coaching staff can't exactly tell their players to stop berating the Clippers for being crybabies because they believe it themselves.

“It's hard to address with the players and tell them to not talk when we, as a staff, dislike the Clippers as much as the players do,” Triano said, via CSN's Dan Sheldon.

While many teams don't view the Clippers favorably, the bitterness certainly amped up for Portland after an incident back in January.

Before the game, the Blazers accidentally left C.J. McCollum off the official stat sheet. Clippers head coach Doc Rivers could've let him play, but declined not to, and the Clippers easily won.

Eventually, McCollum fired back with some trash talk about Doc and his son/Clippers guard, Austin Rivers.

After falling by 20 in game one, the Blazers are motivated to even up the series on Wednesday night.
