Portland Trail Blazers star Carmelo Anthony has “mixed feelings” about resuming the 2019-20 season at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

“As far as basketball goes, I'm ready for it and excited to get back to work,” Anthony said during a discussion with Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma. “But to be honest with you, I'm still battling on traveling to Orlando amid everything going on. Just being isolated away from the rest of the world is why I have mixed feelings about the NBA returning.”

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, players who will leave the Orlando bubble will be quarantined for no less than 10 days and must have two negative coronavirus tests before being allowed to play again. With that being said, missing a player for such a long time will be crucial for teams like the Blazers, who are fighting for the last playoff spot.

Nike’s Phil Knight gives final word on possibly buying Blazers’ franchise

The Blazers are currently the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a record of 29-37. Furthermore, they're only 3.5 games behind the Memphis Grizzlies, who own the final playoff spot. 

Portland — as well as 21 other teams — will get eight games to determine the final playoff seeding. If the Blazers finish the season four games or less behind the eighth seed, there will be a play-in tournament for the final playoff spot.

Nervthelesss, despite being isolated from the rest of the world in Orlando, you can expect Carmelo Anthony to get back to work.
