This is great news for Blazers fans. Sharpe was likely going to see significant minutes next season playing behind Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons. If he went under the knife, the rookie was likely to miss precious time learning the ropes of NBA play. With this news, Blazers fans can breathe a sigh of relief.

Shaedon Sharpe was selected by the Blazers with the 7th overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft. The rookie guard showed promise playing in the high school scene. His excellent performance in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball Camp skyrocketed his stock. However, his lack of experience playing in the collegiate ranks made him a huge question mark entering the draft.

The Blazers are making a calculated risk in Sharpe. Will this move pay off for them in the short and long run? Hopefully, Sharpe makes a full recovery and shows off his talents on the biggest stage.
